Vajrasattva Retreat – purifying our negativity

December 21st –23rd

Vajrasattva is the Buddha of purification. During this retreat we have the opportunity to purify our negativity by engaging in the purification practices of Buddha Vajrasattva. Through this practice we can remove both the causes of our future suffering and obstacles to our spiritual practice.

In our previous lives, while under the influence of confused and deluded minds, we engaged in negative actions. As a result, we now experience difficulties and problems in our daily life. If we do not purify this negativity while we have the chance we shall have to experience endless suffering in the future.

Now we have an opportunity to purify our negativities completely. Since purification of the mind is the root of future happiness and spiritual realizations, we should strive to cleanse our mind of delusions and negative karma by practicing the meditation and recitation of Buddha Vajrasattva. This is a very powerful and beautiful method of purification.
